Victorian Home

Submitted on 10/10/2007 by Michigan Geothermal Energy Association.

This four bedroom, five bathroom Victorian home actually has two geothermal heat pumps to allow for separate heating and cooling zones. The only heating options in their rural area were electric and propane. The home is 6,200 sq. ft. and the mother of three teenage daughters comments, "we don't run out (of hot water)" and they all love the comfort of their new system.

They pay about $1,200 per year for heating, cooling, and hot water.
